Wage Theft Regulations Rolled Back By President Trump
A regulation that hoped to encourage contactors that worked with the federal government to follow labor laws has been repealed by President Donald Trump. As reported by the Huffington Post, the regulation that was repealed last month would terminate the contracts of companies that had a record of violation laws regarding wages and safety.
Republicans believed that the consequences outlined by the regulation were too harsh for businesses since it meant businesses found guilty of violations would not receive taxpayer dollars.
A similar regulation cannot be set into place since this is part of what was accomplished when President Trump signed to repeal the regulation.
